22nd Beneeezy Purple Monkey Fun Run

The 22nd Beneeezy Purple Monkey Fun Run returns to Alvin, Texas on September 5th at 7:00 a.m., offering races for all ages and abilities including the Kids 1K, 5K, and 10K. The event will take place at Alvin Memorial Stadium located at 1300 W. Dumble St.
On race morning, runners can expect to find the picturesque setting of Alvin Memorial Stadium with its well-maintained grounds and running track. As participants gather for their warm-up before dawn breaks, they'll see families and friends gathering around the stadium's perimeter, eager to cheer on the competitors. The course venue features certified distances marked by the TX16079ETM for the 5K and TX16080ETM for the 10K, both starting from Alvin Memorial Stadium. The route includes one loop for the 5K and two loops for the 10K, taking runners through familiar streets of the neighborhood surrounding the stadium. Participants will run past Dumble Street before heading back to complete their designated distance.
The start is at the corner of 2nd St. and W. Dumble, where a large crowd gathers early in the morning under a clear sky that promises comfortable temperatures around 27°C with humidity levels sitting at about 76%. Runners will have aid stations available along the course to keep them hydrated throughout their run.
The race offers three distances: the Kids 1K (one and one-half laps), the 5K, and the 10K. All participants are encouraged to bring water bottles or use the hydration points provided by volunteers at strategic intervals on the course.

The race starts promptly at 7:00 a.m. for the Kids 1K followed by the 5K and 10K events starting at 7:30 a.m., all taking place on flat terrain suitable for runners of any age group, including those aged 12 and under who are not timed in the kids' race.
For participants running the 5k or 10k distances, the course will feature one loop each. The finish line is back at Alvin Memorial Stadium where medals await top performers in various categories along with custom awards for all Kids 1K participants.
