23rd annual Roxie Memorial Ride Benefitting Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF)
About the Event
Welcome to the 23rd annual Roxie Memorial Ride for Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF), an event that brings together cyclists of all abilities. Spanning five distances—25, 30, 41, 52, and 66 miles—the ride promises a diverse experience suitable for everyone. The route takes you through picturesque rural landscapes with low traffic country roads, making it both challenging and scenic. Each mile offers stunning views that will captivate your senses as you cruise along these well-marked paths. Maps are also available to ensure you stay on track throughout the journey. For those venturing further, there's a convenient Marathon Station in Fayetteville where riders can take a much-needed break during their 52- and 66-mile routes. Upon completion of your ride, enjoy post-event refreshments including hot dogs, hamburgers, and side dishes provided by our generous sponsors: Sierra Environmental Group, 1-800-Packouts, Wiedemann Beer, PayOptions LLC, Teasdale Fenton Carpet Cleaning & Restoration LLC. The event is free to participate in; however, donations are encouraged for Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF) to support the mission of finding a cure for diabetes. Proceeds will be distributed among participants taking part in regional events. Safety and comfort are at the forefront with mandatory helmets required, and headlights and taillights recommended for those cycling during dusk or dawn hours. A staggered start ensures that riders can join at their preferred pace: - 66 miles: 8:00 am - 52 miles: 8:15 am - 41 miles: 8:30 am - 30 and 25 miles: 8:45 am For more information, contact Kevin at [email protected] or call 513-520-0055. Bring your own lawn chair to relax post-ride in a comfortable setting. Join us for this memorable event that not only celebrates the spirit of cycling but also supports an important cause.
