24th National Naju Geumseongsan Forest Trail Marathon

On November 8, 2026, runners from around the country will gather at Dongshin University's athletic field for the 24th National Naju Geumseongsan Forest Trail Marathon. This autumnal race offers a unique blend of scenic forest trails and challenging terrain along the ridges of Geumseongsan Mountain.
Participants can choose between three distances: half marathon, 11km, and 6km. The event kicks off with an assembly at 8:00 AM followed by an opening ceremony starting at 8:30 AM. Race start times are staggered to ensure smooth flow on the trails, beginning with the half marathon runners at 9:00 AM, followed closely by those in the 11km race at 9:05 AM and concluding with the shorter 6km route participants who will begin their journey at 9:10 AM.
Entry fees vary based on distance; KRW 30,000 for the 6km course and KRW 40,000 each for both the 11km and half marathon routes. The race is limited to a capacity of 700 participants who will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Runners aged ten or older are welcome to join this exhilarating event that challenges participants with time limits: four hours for the half marathon, two hours for the 11km route, and one hour for those tackling the shorter distance. Teams of at least ten members can also benefit from a reserved group booth during registration.
