26th Changwon Unification Marathon

The Changwon Unification Marathon presents its annual 5 km run on Sunday, November 15, 2026, at Changwon Sports Park Auxiliary Stadium. This community-focused event aims to promote peace and reunification efforts across the Korean Peninsula.
Participants will gather at 9:00 AM for a pre-event program followed by an opening ceremony and warm-up session from 9:00-9:30 AM. The race starts promptly at 9:30 AM, taking runners on a scenic route through Changwon's bustling streets before returning to the stadium.
The course begins at the Changwon Sports Park Auxiliary Stadium and winds past notable landmarks such as the Stadium Intersection and Yongji Intersection. Runners will continue along Yaksuteo Road towards Korea Polytechnics before heading back toward the starting point via Chunghontap Intersection and finally crossing the finish line at 10:30 AM.
Post-race festivities include an awards ceremony from 10:10-10:20 AM, followed by a closing ceremony with community activities until noon. The event is open to all individuals in good health; registration opens on September 14, 2026, at 10:00 AM via the official website and closes once capacity of 3,000 participants has been reached.
Entry fees are KRW 25,000 for general applicants and KRW 10,000 for elementary school students or younger. The race is untimed but offers a one-hour time limit to complete the course. This event promises not only physical activity but also an engaging community experience dedicated to fostering unity among all participants.
Registration details can be adjusted during the initial period of sign-up; however, no changes will be accepted after registration closes and refunds are unavailable once full capacity is reached.
