The Tamagawa Half Marathon in Kawasaki's Takatsu Ward keeps costs low while offering chip timing, plenty of pacers and guest cheering. Races are 5K, 10K and the half marathon, with women's and men's categories for junior high school age and up, and early-bird and regular entry rates. To keep fees down there is no baggage storage and no extra portable toilets. Every runner wears a timing tag, and the official results site shows lap splits, lap rankings, finish times and division and overall placings immediately. Finishing certificates are available online after the race. The BOOSTPacers team supplies pacers from 4:00 to 6:00 per kilometer in 10-second steps for the half marathon and 30 km, though this may change. Participants also receive one month of online yoga, over 40 lessons, from YOGAEVENT.jp, with lesson links emailed for the month after the race. Guest performers come each year to cheer on runners.
