About the Event

The race winds itself through historic Morgan City, much of which has been seen recently worldwide on the Travel Channel's Ghost of Morgan City series.

The race's namesake is Marcus Jones, 81, an avid runner who continues the sport daily. For more information on the race or organization please call Travis Darnell (985) 992-0840 or Kreig Triggs (985) 519-1683

All participants will receive a bib and all race finishers will receive a commemorative race medal. T-shirts will be guaranteed to the first 100 participants who register.

Awards: Overall male and female. Top 3 males and top 3 females in each age group.

The race will start in Lawrence Park in Morgan City, Louisiana.

A 1-mile fun run for kids aged 4 to 10 will take place before the 5k event begins.
