Sir Stuffy may look like the foreman of the year in his hard hat, but we'll leave the orange cones, jackhammers, and heavy equipment to the real construction crews! Thanks to the ongoing Sparks Boulevard widening project, our speedy 10K is taking another coffee break this year, but don't worry, it'll be back before you can say, "Road work ahead!"
In the meantime, we're keeping the Turkey Trot fun rolling with our classic 2-mile loop around the Marina. It's the perfect route for taking in the views, enjoying the holiday atmosphere, and working up an appetite for pumpkin pie. Need a few more miles before you earn that second helping of stuffing? Just keep trotting! One more lap... or two... and you've got yourself a custom-distance Turkey Trot.
To celebrate all the progress happening on Sparks Boulevard, we're inviting everyone to dress for the "job site." Break out your construction-themed gear—hard hats, safety vests, caution tape, tool belts, traffic cones (okay... maybe not actual traffic cones), or anything else that would make a construction crew do a double take. Our Special Events team will crown the participant with the most over-the-top construction outfit, and they'll hammer home a special prize. We can't wait to see your creative "work" in action!
