2nd Annual Creepy Crawl 5k

The Fall Festive Mile returns to the picturesque town of Georgetown on October 17th, marking its second edition as part of an exhilarating autumn celebration. This year's race is set within Delaware, USA, and integrates seamlessly into a vibrant fall festival that offers themed activities and festivities.
Race participants will start their journey at dawn in a historic park located near downtown Georgetown. The crisp morning air carries the scent of fallen leaves, creating a serene ambiance as runners or walkers take to the streets lined with charming homes and bustling shops. For those seeking an alternative route, there's also a Monster Mile (non-timed) option that provides a shorter distance experience.
The course is designed for both competitive walkers and runners on firm yet slightly soft terrain, offering a pleasant run through city parks and streets before weaving back to the starting point. A brief elevation gain of approximately 20 meters ensures a manageable challenge with no significant climbs or descents. Convenient aid stations are strategically placed along the route, providing water and energy gels at key points—specifically near the park entrance and just before crossing Main Street.
Weather conditions on race day are expected to be mild, with an average temperature of 15.8°C due to low humidity levels around 68.7%. A gentle northeast breeze will blow at about 12 km/h, while a slight chance of light rain (1.5 mm) could add some moisture to the air. The UV index is moderate, reading 4.0.
Participants can register online for either the Competitive Walking Fall Festive Mile or the Monster Mile (non-timed), with each registration costing $33.70 per person. Online registration closes on September 30th; participants must pick up their bibs from Tidemark FCU headquarters between 9 am and 6 pm on October 14th.
The race starts at Main Street Park, where runners should arrive with a photo ID for age verification if needed. First-timers are encouraged to bring cash or credit cards in case they need to purchase items nearby after the event.
