We’re excited to invite you to the 2nd annual Belarusian Carolinas Trails Friends Run at beautiful Park Road Park! This year, participants can choose between a 1M (white track) or a 5K (red track) route, both designed for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. Bring your family, friends, or even your four-legged companion and enjoy a morning of fun, fitness, and community. Every dollar raised goes to support the courageous work of Nobel Peace Prize laureate Ales Bialiatski, a symbol of human rights and freedom.

• Date & Time: Race starts at 10:00 AM, with registration opening at 8:30 AM
• Location: Start and finish at Park Road Park (near the last softball fields)
• Facilities: Parking, registration, and restrooms available on-site
Volunteers Needed! We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help make this event a success. Whether it’s helping at the registration table, handing out water, or cheering on participants, your support is vital. Join our team and be part of something meaningful!
Can’t Join in Person? No problem! You can still show your support by donating. Every step of this run sends a message in support of Ales Bialiatski and his fight for freedom.
Eco-Friendly Run: To reduce waste, this will be a cupless race. Water, coffee, and snacks will be provided at the start/finish line, but we encourage you to bring your own bottle if you want water along the course.
Merch & Awards: Be sure to check out our merchandise, including t-shirts and bags, with proceeds going to the cause. Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each race, so give it your all!
The Route:
Both the 1M (white track) and 5K (red track) start near the last softball fields at Park Road Park. The race begins down a fast chute and then leads into the serene and picturesque Sugar Creek Greenway. The 5K course crosses the creek four times via wide bridges, offering scenic views at every turn. The paths are mostly flat, with a gentle uphill finish back up the chute. This is a perfect opportunity to enjoy a peaceful, traffic-free run while taking in the natural beauty of the park.
