### Race Format
The 3 Islands Marathon Hebrides can be tackled solo or as part of a team comprising pairs, triples, or quadruples. The event features four legs ranging from 5.8 to 7 miles in length with three changeover checkpoints along the way. Teams must complete these segments efficiently while navigating through breathtaking coastal landscapes.
### Team Options
- Teams of Four: Each member runs one leg each. This format allows for balanced effort distribution and strategic pacing.

- Teams of Three: Here, you can either split four legs among three runners or incorporate a solo runner who covers the first segment before handing over to another team member at checkpoint 1.
### Solo Entries
Solo participants start from Lochboisdale Marina on Gasay Island with the option for transport provided. The route is designed to test endurance and resilience, offering both challenging terrain and stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean.
### Community Teams
For those who prefer a more casual approach or are unable to commit to running all four legs individually, there's also an exciting Community Team category. Participants enter under individual entries but get randomly assigned into teams one week before race day. This random draw ensures diversity and camaraderie among runners from various backgrounds.
### Race Logistics
- The event begins at Lochboisdale Marina on Gasay Island.
- Finish line is located at the Dark Island Hotel in Benbecula.
- Cut-off time for all teams is 6 hours, with early start times available for those predicted to finish within 5 hours (9am instead of 10am).
### Prize Categories

- Solo: First three male and female winners receive awards along with various veteran age group prizes.
- Pairs & Teams of Three/Four: Prizes are awarded for first place in Male, Female, and Mixed categories.

Refunds are available before March 31, 2027. After this date, entries remain non-refundable but participants will receive good wishes from organizers instead.
