About the Event

Join the BBSOAS Solidarity Run, a unique 3-kilometer event designed to raise awareness and funds for individuals affected by Bosch-Boonstra-Schaaf Optic Atrophy Syndrome (BBSOAS). This flexible initiative allows participants to run or walk at their convenience anywhere in the world from July 1st through December 7th, 2026.
Participants can complete the course around their homes or any chosen location on a day that suits them best. The event is organized by NR2F1 EUROPE with proceeds going towards fostering connections between families impacted by BBSOAS and medical professionals involved in research and clinical care.
Registration for this meaningful run costs 5 euros, though additional donations are welcome to support the organization's efforts to host a meeting of affected families, researchers, and clinicians in 2028.
Engage with others who share your commitment to making a difference while enjoying the freedom to participate on your own terms. Your contribution will help advance understanding and care for those living with BBSOAS.
Thank you for joining us in this important cause.
Please note that all proceeds from registration fees and additional donations go directly towards supporting research, patient families, and future meetings aimed at advancing knowledge about BBSOAS.

About Monde

Learn more about the host city, Monde.

A monde, meaning 'world' in French, is an orb located near the top of a crown. It represents, as the name suggests, the world that the monarch rules. It is the point at which a crown's half arches meet. It is usually topped off either with a national or religious symbol, for example a cross in Christian countries.
