On July 11, 2026, the charming town of Lünen will host an unforgettable running experience with its annual Lippe Auen Ultra race. Set to start at 9:00 AM, this challenging yet scenic event is designed for serious runners looking to push their limits while enjoying the beauty of nature. Located near the picturesque banks of the river Lippe in Alstedde, participants will gather and finish at the Sportanlage Blau Weiß Alstedde. The address for both start and finish lines is Am Heikenberg 18, a convenient spot that offers easy access to parking spaces right on site or nearby tennis courts. To ensure smooth participation, runners must be at least 18 years old by race day and register online through the RaceResult portal no later than July 9th. The event has a strict limit of 150 participants, but late entries may still join if places are available. Entry fees amount to €45 for pre-registration or €55 on the day of the event. The course itself is an exhilarating loop that covers seven rounds each stretching over 7.15 kilometers through the serene landscape along the Lippe river. The route features a halfway point marked with refreshment stations, ensuring runners have ample hydration and energy throughout their journey. A hearty buffet awaits at both start and finish lines, catering to diverse dietary needs including vegan options. Upon arrival, participants can make use of unmonitored changing facilities on-site for storing personal belongings during the race. The venue also provides accessible restrooms for all competitors. Race organizers will present awards to the top three male and female runners in addition to age category winners and certificates to every finisher via RaceResult AG. A ceremony recognizing these achievements is scheduled approximately 45 minutes after each respective race concludes. Participants should be aware that walking poles, inline skates, bicycles, scooters, or similar aids are strictly prohibited; any use will result in disqualification. The event collects personal data solely for operational purposes and ensures transparency regarding privacy policies. Beyond the competitive spirit, this ultra-run aims to raise funds for the Hospiz "Am Wall" located in Lünen – a place dedicated to enhancing quality of life for terminally ill patients and their families with compassionate care every day. Organizers invite all runners to join them in celebrating both personal achievements and community contributions at this unique event. For more information or to register, visit the RaceResult portal before July 9th. We look forward to seeing you there! Michael Petry & Team
