Traditionally held during the Christmas holidays, organizers have chosen a new date that offers runners one last chance before December's French National Championships to achieve qualifying times.
This year’s edition introduces a completely revamped route designed to enhance performance and accommodate more participants. The course winds through the heart of Saint-Pierre-des-Corps with smooth urban stretches ideal for speed and endurance testing, making it an attractive option for both competitive athletes aiming for top rankings and casual runners looking for personal bests.
The race features two main distances: a 5 km event recognized by World Athletics at the Regional Bronze level as part of the Departmental Championship in Indre-et-Loire. This competition is also crucial for qualifying to compete in France’s National Championships, offering valuable points towards club standings and individual achievements. The second distance is a mile run (1609 meters), another World Athletics-certified event that promises fast times with its flat terrain.
