Westerwinkel Castle Water Ring Run, scheduled for Saturday, November 7, 2026, invites runners to explore the scenic park paths surrounding Westerwinkel Castle in Ascheberg-Herbern. Participants will start and finish at the Sport- und Schwimmhalle located in Herbern.
The race utilizes a chip timing system provided by Race-Result, with transponders integrated into each participant's bib number for both net and gross time recording. Bib numbers are non-transferable and must be worn visibly on the front of participants' clothing throughout the event.
Awards will be presented to the top three finishers in both the 5km and 10km races at the venue, with certificates available online afterward.
For those driving to the race, BAB exit 79 (Ascheberg) or 80 (Hamm-Bockum/Werne-Nord) are recommended access points. The Mariengrundschule schoolyard serves as the designated parking area, accessible via Siepenweg/Bakenfelder Weg.
Participants should be aware that neither the event organizers nor the property owners assume liability for any accidents or damages of any kind. By registering, runners acknowledge their understanding and acceptance of the race rules and disclaimer regarding health risks associated with participation. They also agree to refrain from making claims against the organizers or sponsors due to injuries sustained during the run.
