37th Annual Library Run Walk

Race day in the heart of historic downtown Lodi on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 8am sees runners and walkers gather for this beloved tradition. The event begins with a warm embrace from nature as participants step out onto the rolling hills that surround the quaint city. As morning sunlight bathes the landscape in golden hues, the air fills with the promise of gentle breezes and clear skies, perfect conditions for what promises to be an enjoyable outing.
This 37th installment of the Library Run Walk is a long-standing tradition rooted deeply within Lodi’s community fabric. With over 200 participants anticipated this year, it continues as more than just a race but also a celebration of local heritage and spirit. The event aims not only to raise funds for the Friends of the Lodi Public Library but also to foster community cohesion through shared experiences.
Course & Conditions
The 5K run or walk takes runners through diverse terrain, starting at Lodi Elementary School. Participants will traverse well-maintained hard and dry surfaces with minimal elevation changes, ensuring a smooth experience. The route includes several notable landmarks that have become iconic over the years, such as the historic Main Street and the picturesque downtown area.
At the halfway mark, water stations provide much-needed hydration while restrooms and refreshments await at the finish line. Special features include professional race timing by It's Race Time, Inc., ensuring accurate results for all participants. The Rotary parade celebrating Susie the Duck Day kicks off right after the event in downtown Lodi, adding a vibrant local touch to an already memorable day.

Logistics
Register early at https://runsignup.com/Race/WI/Lodi/LibraryRunWalk by June 30, 2026. Fees for all distances are $25 and include race bibs, timing services, and refreshments post-race. Bib pickup will be held on August 7 from 4pm to 8pm at the Lodi Elementary School.
The start location is conveniently located right outside of Lodi Elementary School. Participants must register before July 31 for age requirements compliance and first-timer support. The event welcomes runners aged eight years and older, ensuring a fun experience for all ages.
