About the Event

The 39th edition of the Army Triathlon and Espírito Santo State Sprint Triathlon Championship, along with the Southeast Regional Sprint Triathlon Cup, is set to take place on November 29, 2026. Located at Praça do Ciclista in Itaparica, Vila Velha, this event welcomes up to 300 athletes aged between 16 and 80+ years old.
Competitors will race through a scenic coastal course featuring a sprint-distance swim of 750 meters along the oceanfront, followed by a challenging bike ride covering 20 kilometers. The final leg is a 5-kilometer run that winds through picturesque streets lined with cheering spectators and local supporters. For those opting for the Super Sprint category, distances are halved to provide an equally exhilarating but shorter experience.
Participants aiming to qualify for the World Triathlon Championships in Hamburg, Germany, must ensure their Federation Registration for 2026 is active with CBTRI before signing up. Detailed course maps will be released through a virtual technical meeting on Instagram by FECATRI on November 28th.
Kit collection takes place at Forte do 38º Batalhão de Infantaria in Prainha, Vila Velha from 14:00 to 18:00 on the same day. All athletes must complete a medical questionnaire upon kit pickup and those under 18 will need their guardians' signed consent forms.
Join this prestigious event for an unforgettable triathlon experience amidst stunning coastal scenery and enthusiastic crowds, with opportunities to compete at both state and national levels.
