The Kooyman Polderloop is an exciting race series taking place on July 29, 2027, offering runners of all ages and abilities the chance to compete against each other while enjoying the scenic surroundings of De Kwakel. The event features a variety of distances including a special G-Run Specials for adults, two Kidsruns tailored for different age groups (up to 8 years old and from 9 to 11 years old), a 4km run, and a challenging 10km race. Registration opens until July 27th with early bird rates available. On the day of the event, participants can register on-site starting at 5:30 PM at the festive grounds located in Evenementenlaan 15, De Kwakel. The registration fees are as follows: - Kidsrun (up to 8 years old): €1 - G-run Specials for adults: €2.50 - 4km run: €6 - 10km race: €7 On-site registrations on July 29th will cost an additional euro compared to early bird rates. The event kicks off with the Kidsrun at 6:30 PM, followed by a G-run Specials for adults. The main events begin shortly after: - 4 km Race: Starts promptly at 7:15 PM - 10 km Race: Begins at 8:00 PM Participants can look forward to an energetic atmosphere with live music and festivities continuing late into the night, creating a vibrant community experience. The race routes are designed on hard-surfaced roads around De Kwakel, offering runners picturesque views of the surrounding countryside. The start and finish lines are located at Feestterrein De Kwakel in Evenementenlaan 15, providing easy access for both participants and spectators alike. Awards will be presented directly after each race to the top ten male and female finishers across all distances. Additionally, special recognition goes out to the first local runner from De Kwakel who finishes either of these races. As a unique feature, runners are encouraged to participate in Teambattles for both 4km and 10km events. Teams can consist of up to six members for the 10km race or ten members for the shorter distance. The combined times of top finishers determine team rankings, with prizes awarded to the fastest three teams overall. All participants will receive a memorable souvenir upon completion of their chosen event, while runners finishing at multiples of one hundred in both 4 km and 10 km races can look forward to enjoying delicious cakes as part of their celebration. The Kooyman Polderloop promises an unforgettable day for all involved – whether you're running solo or joining a team battle, the camaraderie and spirit of competition make it a race not to be missed!
