On race day, expect clear skies and temperatures in the mid-teens to low twenties Celsius, with a comfortable humidity level of 72.9%. The terrain will be firm but slightly soft underfoot, providing a pleasant running surface as you enjoy scenic landscapes throughout Panama City's charming neighborhoods. The community spirit is palpable during this event; residents turn out en masse in festive turkey costumes and smiles, creating an atmosphere that’s truly unique to the Gulf Coast.
The 5K Run/Walk has been a staple of the local calendar for four years now, growing each year as more participants flock to support the cause. With over 300 runners expected this time around, it's clear why so many are drawn back annually. Participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt and enjoy a morning full of energy and smiles.
The course layout includes several key features: the start at Frazier Field, followed by a climb up the Hathaway Bridge for breathtaking views before returning to the starting point via a scenic route through Panama City's streets. Along the way, runners will pass by aid stations offering water and snacks. At the finish line, there are additional amenities available.
Weather-wise, participants should be prepared for temperatures ranging from 13.5°C at their lowest to 22.5°C at their highest. Winds might gust up to 12.4 km/h, but with a UV index of just 2.0 (low), sunscreen is still recommended.

Bib pickup is available from Wednesday, November 25th, between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., in the Wellness Building lobby. Alternatively, packets can be collected at check-in on race day as well.
The start address for runners is Frazier Field on the Gulf Coast St. campus; age requirements are open to all participants aged 16 years or older. The race schedule is as follows: the 5K Run will begin at 8am; the Fun Run will start an hour later, at 9am. Both events welcome runners and walkers alike. Rain or shine, we’ll delay the start time in 15-minute increments to ensure everyone’s safety on race day.
