The 3rd Genkai Walk covers about 25 km through the town of Shingu, which neighbors Fukuoka City and lies only 30 minutes from Tenjin and Hakata. Despite its closeness to the busy city, Shingu is full of sea, mountains and pine forest. Its beautiful coastline and pine groves lie within Genkai Quasi-National Park, a setting the organizers call an oasis for Fukuoka.
