On November 8, 2026, "Express Bydgoski," "Gazeta Pomorska," and "Nowości - Dziennik Toruński" are set to organize the fourth edition of the Egg Run. The event features a main race covering 5 kilometers for participants aged 18 and above, along with a shorter fun run of 2.6 kilometers aimed at those starting their running journey. For younger runners between ages 6 and 9, there's also an exciting 400-meter dash designed to introduce them to the joy of competition in a safe environment. All participants will receive commemorative medals upon completion of their respective races. The Egg Run is part of a broader initiative by these publications aimed at raising awareness about preventive health screenings among men. The race takes place within the Botanical Garden in Myślęcin and around the Bydgoszcz Trade Exhibition Centre (BCTW). Race operations, recovery zones, and vendor booths will be set up inside the BCTW building for convenient access to amenities and refreshments. The event is designed with a strong emphasis on community engagement and health promotion. The race course has been meticulously planned by the Kujawsko-Pomorski Związek Lekkiej Atletyki (KPLA), which also partners closely with the Centre of Oncology named after F. Łukaszczyk in Bydgoszcz to support this initiative. A two-time Polish Marathon Champion with a personal best of 2:11:27, he has also won the Warsaw Marathon and represents Poland in international competitions. In addition to these highlights, prizes will be awarded for top finishers in both genders within the main race category (5 kilometers). Medals along with vouchers worth up to 500 zł for first place, 300 zł for second, and 200 zł for third are available. Separate awards also go out to winners across various age categories. This event promises a day filled with fun activities, community spirit, and the joy of running in Bydgoszcz's scenic locations.
