The race follows the well-marked Holperdorfer hiking trail initially in an eastward direction against the clock face. At kilometer six, runners will take a detour towards an alpine hut before rejoining the main route at nine and a half kilometers. A slight shortcut is taken between eleven and twelve kilometers to maintain the integrity of the course.
Participants are advised to use navigation tools like Garmin or Komoot for accurate tracking due to minor deviations from the original trail, especially around kilometer six and eleven point three.
