Welcome to the registration page for the 40th Weezer Relay Race! On September 26, 2026, join us at the August Janssen Sports Center in Weeze for this historic celebration. Each relay team consists of three runners who collectively complete a race time together. Individual times will be listed on your certificate. The main event features ten start classes with a familiar 5km course along the Niers riverbank. Teams can compete across various categories, including school teams from first to fourth grade and mixed-gender adult teams. A special category is reserved for primary schools, offering a unique experience for younger participants. All runners will use timing chips attached to their bib numbers for accurate results. The race starts promptly at 14:30 with the Bambini event—a short lap around the stadium track for children born in or after 2019. At 15:00, teams of all ages begin their relay races on a scenic course that winds through Weeze's picturesque landscape. For younger participants aged six to ten and eleven to fifteen years old, there are dedicated school relay categories with shorter distances and age-appropriate challenges. These events start at 15:02 alongside the main race classes for junior and senior athletes. The event concludes in late afternoon with awards ceremonies recognizing top-performing teams across all divisions. A special award will be given to the club that fields the most relay teams, fostering a sense of community among local sports organizations. Registration fees vary depending on your category: €2 plus €3 deposit for Bambini runners; €15 plus €10 deposit per team for school categories and junior classes; and €25 plus €10 deposit for adult teams. The final registration deadline is September 24, 2026, at noon. On the day of the race, enjoy a variety of refreshments including hot and cold drinks as well as delicious baked goods provided by event organizers. All start numbers must remain in their envelopes during the run and should be returned to officials after completion for recycling purposes. For more information or assistance with registration, contact Marc Hubert at staffel@tsv-weeze-leichtathletik.de. We look forward to seeing you there as we celebrate 40 years of camaraderie, competition, and community spirit in the heart of Weeze. Join us for an afternoon filled with excitement, friendly rivalry, and a scenic run through one of Germany's most picturesque towns. Whether you're competing or spectating, this event promises to be memorable.
