About the Event

Welcome to the Britzinger Running Days, scheduled for December 13 and December 31, 2026. This year marks the sixth edition of our beloved Nikolauslauf on the 13th, followed by the now-traditional Silvesterlauf at midnight on New Year's Eve.
Registration will open around September 1, 2026, with a tentative deadline for both events: December 9 for the Nikolauslauf and December 20 for the Silvesterlauf. Participants should be aware that once we reach our maximum capacity of 1200 runners, registration may close earlier than planned.
For young athletes participating in the Silvesterlauf, it's important to note that only those aged between 16 and 17 (born in 2009 or 2010) are eligible for this challenging race. A special high start is arranged for runners born in 2011 and 2012, allowing them a more manageable experience on the demanding 10-kilometer course.
Younger children under these age groups do not have access to participate in the main event due to safety concerns and the difficulty of the terrain. The race organizers emphasize that this decision is made with the well-being and development of all runners in mind, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
