Organized by SV Garbenteich's Athletics Department, this beloved event offers runners three challenging distances: a 10K, half marathon (21.1KM), and full marathon (30KM). The race starts and finishes at the Sport- und Kulturhalle in Pohlheim-Garbentiech, setting off from this central location for an exhilarating journey through scenic landscapes.
Participants will find themselves traversing beautiful stretches of Fernwald forest before ascending to the summit of Schiffenberg. Each distance offers a unique course experience, winding through picturesque countryside and providing breathtaking views along the way. Runners can explore detailed route maps and elevation profiles on svg-la.de to prepare for their chosen challenge.
This year marks an exciting change with the introduction of transponder-equipped start numbers, enhancing both timing accuracy and race management efficiency. A 2€ deposit is required upon registration, which will be refunded in cash when runners return their bibs at the event.
