The race itself covers 5.2 miles through Goffstown's picturesque streets and parks, offering runners a mix of flat stretches alongside challenging inclines and winding paths that wind past local landmarks like the historic railroad bridge and quaint shops along Main Street. As you begin your journey from the start line near Town Hall Park, the course unfolds with scenic views at every turn, making it not just about reaching the finish but also enjoying the unique beauty of Goffstown.
Starting in the heart of town where runners are greeted by cheering crowds and local vendors selling refreshments before the race begins, the elevation profile gradually ascends to a peak midway through. Aid stations are strategically placed along the route at key points where participants can refuel with water, sports drinks, and snacks provided by generous sponsors and volunteers who understand how important it is for runners to stay hydrated during their run.
Given typical June weather in Goffstown, temperatures hover around 20 degrees Celsius on average, but early morning starts might see cooler conditions dipping towards a minimum of about 15 degrees. The afternoon sun brings warmer air up to the maximum temperature mark at approximately 26 degrees, with an overall humidity level averaging near seventy-two percent that can make it feel slightly more humid than actual temperatures suggest. Winds are generally light throughout the day but may increase as storms move through in late afternoons or early evenings.
