About the Event
Experience the vibrant autumn colors as you join thousands of participants on Saturday, October 24th, for The Great Pumpkin Run and Tiny Tot Pumpkin Trot. This annual tradition invites runners and walkers of all ages to explore the charming neighborhoods of Grandview Heights through a closed road course. The event kicks off with the free Tiny Tot Pumpkin Trot at 8:30 am, perfect for children under six years old. These little ones will enjoy a festive start as they race down the streets in their adorable costumes and tiny strollers. The first 100 youth registrants will receive an official shirt and goody bag. At 9 am sharp, the main event—the Great Pumpkin Run 5K—will commence. This popular race winds through picturesque avenues adorned with fall foliage, offering breathtaking views of the area's historic homes and lush parks. Participants can expect a well-marked course that ensures safety while providing an enjoyable run or walk experience. Packet pick-up will be held on Friday, October 23rd, from 7:30 am at the Parks and Recreation Department office located at 1661 Goodale Street in Grandview Heights. On race day, participants can easily access the event starting line by parking in the Oakland Avenue lot (closed this year) or using nearby street parking. Warm up your muscles before the main event with a pre-race warm-up session hosted by Orange Theory Fitness-Grandview at 8:40 am. This will help you get into top form for the start of The Great Pumpkin Run. Post-race, enjoy a complimentary stretch provided by Columbus Spine and Sport Center at 10:15 am, ensuring your muscles are ready to recover in style. All participants up to a total of 450 will receive an official event shirt. Register early to secure the size you prefer. The Great Pumpkin Run is more than just a race; it's an opportunity to celebrate community and promote health and wellness.
