About the Event

The 49th Ashikaga Takauji Marathon is held in Ashikaga and offers 3K, 5K, 10K and half marathon distances, plus a 3K pair race in which the two must finish together.
Highlights include a costume grand prize decided by popular vote and free changing rooms and baggage storage in the Budokan, with separate space for people with disabilities. A new sports experience corner is popular with children, and a free conditioning and taping corner is available. On the day before and on race day, a race bib gives free entry to the historic Ashikaga School, Soun Art Museum and the city art museum.
