4th Annual Swift Bear Trail Run

The 4th Annual Swift Bear Trail Run in Hays, Montana, United States, will take place on Saturday, August 8, 2026. The loop starts at the eastern end of the powwow grounds where runners gather before heading into Mission Canyon. Expect hard and dry surfaces that remain firm even in late summer’s heat, making for an invigorating run. Aid stations are strategically placed along the course to keep you fueled throughout your journey.

Logistics wise, registration can be done online through RunSignup at https://runsignup.com/Race/MT/Hays/Swiftbeartrailrun. Fees vary by distance: $20 for the 10 Mile Run, $30 for the 20 Mile Run, and a more substantial $40 for the 50K run. Participants must sign up before July 28th to secure their spot.
Bib pickup will be held at the same location on race day from 7:00 AM until shortly before the start of each event. For those planning to participate in the 20 Mile Run, if your expected completion time is more than six hours, please consider starting with the 50K group by 5:30 AM.
The race starts and ends at the east end of the powwow grounds where you’ll find a white canopy and check-in table. Remember to arrive thirty minutes before each run to ensure you’re ready for your start time. Age requirements are open, but first-timers should prepare accordingly.
