Please present your registration confirmation upon boarding for this complimentary service, which extends to second-class travel both ways. The race takes place around the serene Laacher See, offering a flat yet varied course that winds through stunning natural landscapes shaped by volcanic activity. This scenic route provides an ideal setting for runners and walkers alike who seek a peaceful environment rich in beauty and history. Organized since 1974 by the Laacher See Running Club e.V., this event promises to be both sustainable and competitive, emphasizing enjoyment of sport and movement with or without disabilities. The club's long-standing reputation ensures that participants will experience an engaging day outdoors filled with camaraderie and healthy competition. Upon crossing the finish line, top male and female runners in the main race as well as first-place winners from each age category can look forward to receiving awards. Additionally, there are special prizes for the three best teams in the main event courtesy of VR Bank. The oldest participant will also be recognized with a unique accolade. Please note that changing rooms and showers are not available at this venue; participants should plan accordingly before arriving on race day. Online registration is mandatory and must be completed by September 18, 2026, at the latest. Any changes or cancellations can only be made via email confirmation sent after your initial sign-up. Race timing will utilize transponders from raceresult embedded within the back of each bib number to ensure accurate results. These devices are protected with a thin foam strip during transit and throughout the race day. The event adheres strictly to international competition rules (IWB) alongside guidelines set forth by the German Athletics Association (DLV), ensuring fair play for all competitors while maintaining safety standards. Participants should be aware that the course passes through wooded areas where natural hazards such as falling branches or uneven terrain may occur, especially during periods of climate change. Participants are encouraged to exercise caution both before and during the race, assessing their surroundings carefully at all times. The organizers will conduct a thorough inspection of the route prior to the event but cannot guarantee protection against unforeseen weather conditions or sudden environmental changes that might pose risks. While no liability is assumed by the organizers for injuries sustained due to natural hazards within the forested section of the course unless caused directly by gross negligence, they strongly recommend participants consult their health status before participating. Personal belongings left unattended on event grounds are at the owner's risk and the organizing committee does not take responsibility for any loss or damage incurred.
