La Coalición de Cáncer Colorrectal de Puerto Rico, es una organización sin fines de lucro, compuesta por varias organizaciones académicas, de pacientes y organizaciones comunitarias que durante más de una década ha tenido como objetivo principal educar y concienciar a la población en general sobre prevención, diagnóstico y tratamiento de cáncer colorrectal. El cáncer colorrectal es la segunda causa de muerte por cáncer en Puerto Rico.Tanto los hombres como las mujeres están a riesgo de desarrollar cáncer colorrectal. Este tipo de malignidad usualmente no presenta síntomas en etapas tempranas, sin embargo, el cáncer colorrectal puede ser prevenible en cerca del 90% de los casos.
