Located on Jerusalem Mill Road in Kingsville, MD, this event welcomes runners of all ages and skill levels seeking a competitive yet enjoyable experience. The race begins at 9:00 AM EST with a mass start, providing a unified atmosphere for solo participants, duos, or teams. The approximately five-mile route is known for its technical terrain, featuring significant elevation gains, rugged singletrack, roots, rocks, and stream crossings that will test your endurance and agility. As you navigate the course, expect to encounter a mix of challenging uphill sections and smoother downhill stretches, offering intermittent breaks before returning to the start. The race concludes at 3:00 PM EST, encouraging participants to maximize their laps within this timeframe for optimal scoring. Pit areas are available along the route where racers can set up tents or use EZ-Up style canopy tents (anchoring is required). Food and water stations will be provided, though it’s advisable to bring additional supplies. Relay transitions for duo and team categories allow for flexible strategies—racers may tag their teammates in designated pit areas. Upon completion of the race, podiums will recognize top finishers across solo men's, women's, and mixed teams with custom medals awarded to the winners. Cash prizes are also available for the top three male and female solo competitors, with varying payouts based on registration numbers. Proceeds from this event support important non-profit organizations: JAMSQUAD Cycling, which provides bicycles to underprivileged youth; GUMBO, dedicated to maintaining a world-class trail system at Gunpowder Falls State Park; and Friends of Jerusalem Mill. A portion of the proceeds will also benefit the Independent Brewing Company. Rain dates are set for November 14, 2026, should weather conditions prevent the race on the initial date. If both days prove unsuitable due to severe weather, the event may be cancelled, with registration fees considered donations.
