6. Oppauer Seenlauf

The 6th Oppauer Seenlauf, scheduled for October 3, 2026, invites runners of all ages to experience the scenic beauty and pleasant terrain around Ludwigshafen-Oppau. The race will take place at DJK Sportgemeinschaft 1919 e.V., located on Ludwig-Wolker-Strasse 40.
Registration for this event is available online through https://my.raceresult.com/events/ or can be done in person up to 30 minutes before the start. Start numbers will be distributed starting at 11:00 AM, and participants are encouraged to arrive early to secure their spot.
The race offers a variety of distances suitable for all runners:
- Bambini (800m) - A fun run designed specifically for young children up to age 9. This event is held on the former cinder track.

- Schülerlauf (2,8km and 5,4km) - Two options tailored for students aged between 10 and 15 years old.
- Laufdistanzen (10,2 km und Halbmarathon: 2x10 km) - Longer distances that challenge more experienced runners. These routes are also open to all age groups without specific restrictions.
The courses wind through picturesque fields and farm paths, offering a flat and enjoyable run with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. While these tracks haven't been officially measured by a licensed surveyor from DLV (Deutscher Leichtathletik-Verband), they provide an excellent opportunity to enjoy running in a natural setting.
The race starts at DJK Sportgelände, Ludwig-Wolker Strasse 40, and concludes there as well. The start times for each event are:
- Bambini: 12:00 PM
- Schülerlauf (2,8km): 12:30 PM
- 5 km, 10 km, Halbmarathon: 13:00 PM
Participants will receive electronic timing chips to ensure accurate results. The cost for each distance is as follows:
- Bambini: €6 (ages up to and including those born in 2017)
- Schülerlauf: €8 (ages between 9 and 15, inclusive of both birth years)
- Laufdistanzen (5km, 10 km): €13
- Halbmarathon: €18
All runners are required to pay upon receiving their start number. Each entry fee includes a donation of €2 towards the initiative "Viele Schritte schaffen mehr", which supports sustainable projects in the region.
Upon completion, children and students will receive small surprises or certificates at the finish line depending on their age group. Medals and certificates are awarded to the top three male and female winners across all categories except Bambini where only those born up to 2016 compete for prizes.
The awards ceremony takes place around 3:30 PM after the half marathon concludes, recognizing achievements in each event category with medals and certificates.
Refreshments including drinks, food, and cake will be available on-site at DJK Sportgelände throughout the day. Half-marathon runners can expect water and fruit halfway through their race.
Medical support is provided by DRK Ortsgruppe Oppau to ensure participants' safety during this event. Results are managed via my.raceresult.com/, which also hosts all results lists on its website for easy access post-race.
Participants should note that they take part at their own risk, and the organizers do not assume responsibility for any damages of any kind. Start times may be subject to change due to organizational reasons but will be communicated in advance when possible.
