Welcome to the sixth edition of the SV Eidelstedt Hamburg New Year's Eve Run, set for Thursday, December 31, 2026. This festive race offers runners two challenging options: a main 10km course and a more accessible 5.5km route designed for all ages. The event takes place on the grounds of SV Eidelstedt at Redingskamp 25 in Hamburg. Participants will enjoy a seamless experience with timing provided by an embedded transponder within their race number, eliminating the need to carry additional chips during the run. Registration fees vary depending on when you sign up: - For the 10km main event: €11.00 until August 31st, €13.00 from September 1st through October 31st, and €15.00 starting November 1st. - The 5.5km fun run costs €8.00 up to August 31st, €10.00 until October 31st, and €12.00 thereafter. In the event of unforeseen circumstances such as severe weather or health emergencies, organizers reserve the right to modify race conditions, cancel, or postpone the event for safety reasons without refunding entry fees or other expenses incurred by participants. The races commence with a family-friendly 5.5km run starting at 9:45 AM followed closely by the more rigorous 10km main event at 10:00 AM. For detailed information on race day logistics and maps of both courses, visit the official website for SV Eidelstedt Hamburg. Join us as we usher in a new year with an energetic start that promises to be memorable and invigorating for all participants.

About Hamburg
Learn more about the host city, Hamburg.
The Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg is Germany's second-largest city and, at the same time, one of Germany's 16 federal states or Bundesländer. Prior to the formation of the modern German state, Hamburg for centuries enjoyed a status as de facto independent city state and regional power and trade hub in the North Sea. Although situated over 100 km (62 mi) upriver from the North Sea on the Elbe, Hamburg has been one of Europe's most important ports for centuries, as reflected in its full name referencing the Hanseatic League. The city was built on the confluence of the Elbe with a smaller tributary, and much of the southern bank of the Elbe is today occupied by an enormous seaport.
