Running December 18-20 at the Chibi Scenic Area, Yongtai County, Fuzhou, Fujian, this race offers 100km, 70km, 40km, 20km, 10km, and 6km categories. Registration opens July 28 at 11:00 through August 27 at 24:00.
The 100km (99.9km, 5,891m gain, ITRA ~5 points) starts Dec 19 8:00 with a 34-hour cutoff; the 70km (69.9km, 4,340m gain, ITRA ~3 points) starts 8:30 with a 24-hour cutoff; the 40km (37.5km, 2,498m gain, ITRA ~2 points) starts Dec 20 8:00 with a 14-hour cutoff; the 20km (21.8km, 1,484m gain, ITRA ~1 point) starts 8:30 with a 9-hour cutoff; the 10km (9.63km, 852m gain) starts Dec 19 10:10 with a 7-hour cutoff; the 6km (5.12km, 247m gain) starts 10:30 with a 3-hour cutoff.
A benchmark for technical, all-terrain trail racing along China's southeast coast: ancient stone steps, volcanic rock, primeval bamboo forest, alpine meadow, canyon streams, slick mud, and open ridgeline all appear on the same course. This edition debuts the 100km distance, extending the race from a beginner's introduction to trail running all the way up to ultra distance -- widely seen as East China's trail-running "graduation" race.
