Bad Ischler RE/MAX VOIGAS17, the second installment of our beloved Badische Laeufe series, promises an exhilarating trail running experience for all levels. Scheduled for Saturday, August 2, 2025, this event offers runners a scenic route through the heart of Austria's Salzkammergut region. Participants can choose between two distances: the VOIGAS17 covering approximately 17 kilometers with over 900 meters of elevation gain and the shorter VOIGAS5 at around 5.6 kilometers with about 310 meters of ascent. Both courses wind through picturesque landscapes, offering breathtaking views of alpine meadows and dense forests. The event starts and finishes in the lively "Pernecker Kellerfest" area where runners can enjoy a festive atmosphere before setting off on their journey or celebrating their achievements afterward. The VOIGAS17 is particularly challenging due to its steep ascents and rugged terrain, making it an ideal destination for seasoned trail runners looking to test their limits. This year's event also marks the introduction of Bad Ischler RE/MAX VOIGAS17 as a part of the prestigious Bergzeit Trail Youngsters Cup 2025. Joining other renowned trails like the Lindkogeltrail, Innsbruck Alpine Race, and Mayrhofen Ultraks, this partnership underscores the significance of our trail running community. Adding to the excitement is the opportunity for runners who complete all three Badische Laeufe events in 2025 to vie for a grand prize. The title of "Lauf-Kaiserpaar," sponsored by Bad Ischl Original, will be awarded to the winning couple based on cumulative performance across the series. Whether you're an experienced trail runner or new to the sport, this event offers an unforgettable adventure amidst some of Austria's most stunning natural scenery. Join us for a day filled with camaraderie and breathtaking views as we celebrate our shared passion for running in one of Europe’s premier locations.

About Bad Ischl
Learn more about the host city, Bad Ischl.
Bad Ischl is a spa town in Austria. It lies in the southern part of Upper Austria, at the river Traun in the centre of the Salzkammergut region. The town consists of the Katastralgemeinden Ahorn, Bad Ischl, Haiden, Jainzen, Kaltenbach, Lauffen, Lindau, Pfandl, Perneck, Reiterndorf and Rettenbach. It is connected to the village of Strobl by the river Ischl, which drains from the Wolfgangsee, and to the Traunsee, into which the stream empties. It is home to the Kaiservilla, summer residence of Austro-Hungarian monarchs Emperor Franz Joseph I and Empress Elisabeth. In 2024, Bad Ischl was one of the European Capitals of Culture – the third city in Austria after Graz (2003) and Linz (2009).
