Set against the stunning North Wales coastline, Abergele/Pensarn offers runners an unforgettable experience with its flat and fast course. Originally a hit as a temporary replacement for the Rhyl 10K in 2023, this event has now become permanent and features both a 5K and a 10K race.
The promenade start line invites participants to enjoy the scenic coastal views while running at their own pace or chasing personal bests. The course is designed with runners of all levels in mind, ensuring that whether you're an elite athlete aiming for speed or someone looking to have fun, there's something here for everyone.

- Start Times:
- 5K: 9:30 AM
- 10K: 11:00 AM
- Race HQ / Enquiries: Opens at 8:00 AM next to the start/finish line on Abergele/Pensarn Promenade (LL22 7PQ).

Parking
Free parking is available right next to the start and finish line on the promenade, ensuring convenience for participants.
Amenities
- Drink stations are located approximately every 3 miles along with one at the finish.
- Public toilets near the start area will be supplemented by portable facilities.
- No changing facilities are provided; runners should plan accordingly before race day.
Medical Support
Professional medical teams provide first aid coverage, stationed at both the start and finish lines as well as on course. It's crucial to complete your personal health information form attached to your race number for safety reasons.
Race Day Activities
- T-shirts & Medals: All participants receive a technical t-shirt and bespoke medal.
- Prize Presentation: Awards will be presented around noon, recognizing the top male and female finishers in both races as well as age category winners.
- Merchandise Tent: Opens at 8:00 AM offering race-specific merchandise for purchase.
Important Reminders
- Headphones are not allowed during the event to ensure safety compliance with UK Athletics rules. Exceptions include bone-conducting headphones only.
- Participants must adhere to litter regulations and properly dispose of waste in designated areas or hand it over to marshals; deliberate littering will result in disqualification from results.
