The Jedermann Multiathlon is an annual track and field competition open to both club members and individual athletes aged 13 years or older. The multiathlon offers two categories: the Decathlon for those competing over ten events, and the Heptathlon for seven events. Registration opens on March 29th, 2026 at 6 PM through my.raceresult.com. Participants will be required to provide bank details upon signing up as payment is deducted via SEPA direct debit three to five days after registration. The competition limits participation to a maximum of 100 decathletes and 25 heptathletes, with no refunds for those who fail to attend. The event takes place over two consecutive days in the local stadium, where all necessary equipment is provided by organizers including high jump bars, pole vaults, throwing weights, javelins, shot puts, discuses, and hurdles. The initial hurdle height can be customized according to age group guidelines while jumping heights for both long and triple jumps are set at predetermined intervals. Decathletes will compete in four lanes with the possibility of swapping event sequences between day one and two based on venue capacity constraints. High jump bars start at 80 cm, increasing by 5 cm increments thereafter. The pole vault begins at 110 cm then progresses to a series of fixed heights before concluding with incremental rises every ten centimeters. For both decathletes and heptathletes, throwing weights are selected according to age classifications while hurdle distances must adhere strictly to specified standards for each age bracket. Should competitors request adjustments in hurdle height due to physical limitations after day one's events, their overall scores will not qualify them for official rankings. Competitors can expect a comprehensive support system with electronic timing at all running disciplines and ample catering facilities inside the stadium throughout both competition days. The event adheres strictly to international track and field rules as well as regulations set forth by the German Athletics Association (DLV). Upon completion of their respective events, athletes will gather for an award ceremony where medals are presented based on age group performances adjusted according to specific factors that account for varying levels of maturity among participants.
