The Alderman's Ascent marks its 10th anniversary on Saturday, 25th July 2026, returning as a counter race in the prestigious English Fell Running Championships. Starting from the Satellite Centre in Greenfield, this iconic 8.5km AS-category race assaults the Saddleworth Moors with over 400m of climbing, visiting the Pots and Pans monument, Shaw Rocks, and the punishing slopes of Alderman's Hill itself. Expect a thrilling blend of lung-busting ascents and a long, technical downhill battle that defines true fell racing.
