Allegheny Cycling Association Tuesday Night Criterium Week 20: Chicane
About the Event
Experience the thrill of racing on Tuesday evenings at the heart of Pittsburgh during the 2026 ACA Tuesday Criterium Series. This unique series offers runners an exhilarating blend of competitive cycling, camaraderie, and local support. The inaugural race welcomes women in categories 1 through 5, setting a vibrant stage for seasoned racers to showcase their skills alongside newcomers. The second installment is dedicated to non-binary cyclists in categories 4 and 5, fostering inclusivity and diversity within the racing community. For those new to competitive cycling or looking to sharpen their skills, these races provide an excellent opportunity. The third event focuses on men across categories 1 through 3, ensuring a diverse range of challenges for all participants. A notable change this year is that the second race will be held on the same day and comes with a reduced entry fee of $15, making it more accessible to a wider audience. Fields of over twenty racers are anticipated in each event, guaranteeing competitive yet fair racing conditions. For Category 5 (Novice) participants, one-day licenses are required; all other competitors must present an active USA Cycling license. Minors under the age of eighteen need parental/guardian signatures for their USAC One Day License Form. Join this series to not only test your limits but also contribute to supporting local racing in Pittsburgh. As a member of the ACA, you can enjoy exclusive benefits including a $5 discount per race by signing up before registration. About Pittsburgh
Learn more about the host city, Pittsburgh.
The pleasure of Pittsburgh remains a well-kept secret. Though not built up by reputation, the city's unique combination of bridges, steep hills, and broad rivers make it one of the most naturally scenic cities in the country. Cheap food and beer abound in this true sports town and the locals are amazingly friendly. A city of about 303,000 (2021) in Allegheny County, at the center of a metro area of about 2.4 million in southwestern Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh is situated at the confluence of three rivers: the Monongahela and Allegheny Rivers, which meet to form the Ohio River. The city's unique terrain has resulted in an unusual city design and a hodge-podge of unique neighborhood "pockets" with diverse ethnic and architectural heritage. Pittsburgh has a rich history and, for its size, an unusual array of cultural treasures, largely thanks to the wealth that was generated when Pittsburgh was a hub of industry.
