Nordhausen Sportverein e.V. invites runners of all ages to participate in its annual race on September 12, 2026, at the heart of Nordhausen's bustling Marktpassage. The registration period for this exciting event runs from May 17 through September 11, 2026. The race offers four distinct distance options tailored to various skill levels and age groups: - A beginner-friendly one-kilometer dash open to all ages. - A three-kilometer run suitable for participants aged twelve years and older (born in or before 2014). - A six-kilometer course designed for runners fourteen years and up (those born in or before 2012), offering a moderate challenge through the town's scenic streets. - The longest option, a nine-kilometer race for more experienced athletes aged sixteen years and older (born in or before 2010). Participants can expect an engaging atmosphere with staggered start times to accommodate all runners. The one-kilometer dash commences at 9:00 AM followed by the three-kilometer event starting promptly at 10:30 AM, while both six and nine-kilometer races begin together at 11:00 AM. After each race concludes, participants will gather in Marktpassage Nordhausen for a celebratory awards ceremony. The overall winners of the longer distances (three kilometers and above) receive commemorative trophies, and age-group champions are presented with small keepsake portals to mark their achievement.
