About the Event

Join us for the 22nd edition of the Ameland Adventure Run, taking place on Saturday, December 12, 2026. This special day offers runners and their families an unforgettable experience at Waddendiamant Ameland.
The event kicks off with a warming-up session for kids starting at 11:15 AM, followed by the start of two kid-friendly runs—the 1 km Eilandverhuur Kidsrun at 11:30 AM and the 2 km version at 11:45 AM. For older participants, there's a range of distances to choose from:
- A scenic 5 km run starting promptly at 12:15 PM
- The 10 km Prestatieloop beginning shortly after at 13:25 PM
- And for those seeking an extra challenge, the 21 km Wagenborg Wedstrijd starts at 13:45 PM.
In addition to these races, you'll enjoy a festive atmosphere with activities and events designed for all ages. The day is packed with opportunities to explore Ameland’s unique landscape while engaging in friendly competition or simply enjoying the scenic beauty of this picturesque Dutch island.
Registration includes access to well-organized feeding stations along each course as well as at the finish line, ensuring you stay fueled throughout your run. Participants will also have use of changing facilities located conveniently in Nes Sport Hall and can look forward to professional timing services and event photography capturing their achievements.
Every runner who crosses the finish line receives a 2026 Edition Adventurerun Bandana and a commemorative medal as proof of participation, making this more than just another race but an experience worth remembering.
For those traveling from afar, your entry fee includes a boat ticket to Ameland. Be sure to book your transport in advance through the provided link; changes can be made up until one hour before departure at no additional cost.
This year also offers the opportunity for group registrations and pre-ordering exclusive 2026 Adventure Run shirts designed specifically for this event, available via the registration form under step three. Early bird registrants who sign up by November 1st will receive a name mention on their race bibs as an added bonus.
Don't miss out on being part of this unique celebration of sport and community spirit in Ameland's charming setting!
