Andover Trail Marathon.

Set against the picturesque backdrop of North Hampshire, this Marathon and Half Marathon offers runners an unforgettable experience that combines challenging terrain with breathtaking scenery. The course features steep climbs reaching up to 280 meters elevation, complemented by exhilarating downhill sections where participants can take in panoramic views of lush meadows and serene valleys.
The event also hosts the Military Cup—an exclusive competition for serving military personnel. Teams consisting of four runners from a unit compete either in the marathon or half marathon format, with each team aiming to achieve the fastest cumulative time to win the coveted silverware.
For logistics:
- The car park opens at 06:30 AM.
- Marathon participants will have their race briefing at 07:45 AM and start running at 08:00 AM. A strict cut-off of seven hours applies for this distance.
- Half marathon runners receive a brief overview at 08:15 AM, followed by the start time of 08:30 AM with a three-and-a-half-hour limit.
The Marathon route spans an impressive 26.2 miles and takes participants along Testway to Coombe Gibbet, Hampshire's highest point, before looping back through the stunning Conholt estate and charming villages leading up to Enham.

In contrast, the Half Marathon covers a scenic loop of 13.1 miles that climbs steeply towards Hurstbourne Tarrant via Testway before descending along picturesque trails back to Enham.
Both courses are meticulously marked by volunteers in advance, ensuring clear guidance throughout the event. Runners can expect comprehensive aid stations stocked with essential supplies and refreshments at key points on both routes. Major road crossings will be marshalled for safety, while full medical support is available across the entire course to ensure runners feel well-supported every step of the way.
