ANJOU’R & NUIT

Anjou'R & Nuit 2026 invites runners to experience an unforgettable weekend of trails and festivities from October 3 to 4, 2026. Organized by the Office de tourisme Anjou Vignoble et Villages in collaboration with Brissac Loire Aubance Athlétisme and Loire Endurance Athlétisme, this event combines sport, heritage, nature, and live entertainment.
On Saturday night, participants can choose between two trail options starting from the Château de Brissac, France's tallest castle. The 12 km route offers a unique semi-urban course featuring artistic performances, light shows, and gourmet surprises along the way, creating an enchanting atmosphere for runners as they explore this historic setting under the moonlight.
For those seeking longer distances, the 25 km trail provides a more challenging option with scenic routes that highlight the region's natural beauty. Both trails offer significant elevation gains, making them suitable for experienced trail runners looking to push their limits in an immersive and magical environment.
On Sunday, the event moves to Saint-Georges-sur-Loire where participants can enjoy two different distances around the Château de Serrant. Starting from the Jardins de l'Abbaye, runners will traverse through autumnal landscapes and iconic sites of the region on a 12 km or 22 km route. These trails offer an opportunity to explore the rich heritage and stunning vistas that Anjou has to offer.
In addition to the regular trail races, this year's event introduces "The Challenge of Two Castles," encouraging runners to participate in both the Saturday night 12 km race and Sunday morning’s 12 km run. Completing both events will earn participants a special commemorative medal celebrating their achievement.
Registration for Anjou'R & Nuit includes access to all artistic animations, live performances along the trails, an exclusive finisher's medal, and contributions towards preserving the historic sites of Château de Brissac and Chateau de Serrant. This unique event promises a weekend filled with adventure, culture, and breathtaking scenery for trail runners from around the world.
