The Aosis Trail of the Bees, now entering its eleventh year, invites runners to explore the scenic trails around Gondreville and Villey-St-Etienne on Sunday, August 30, 2026. Organized by "l'Association des Coureurs de Gondreville et Villey-St-Etienne" in accordance with French regulations from March 1999, the event offers three distinct courses catering to various skill levels and distances. The shortest option is a 9km trail that ascends 150 meters through rolling hills and forests. This route is open to runners aged cadet or older. For those seeking more of a challenge, there's a 15km course with 400 meters of elevation gain. Participants must be at least junior-aged for this distance. The most demanding option spans 28 kilometers, featuring an impressive climb of 900 meters and suitable for runners aged espoir or above. In addition to the running events, a parallel march nordique event covers 10km through similar terrain, providing walkers with an opportunity to enjoy the surroundings at their own pace. The race day is not only about competition but also contributes to environmental conservation efforts by supporting local bee populations through a portion of registration fees dedicated to reforestation and habitat restoration projects.
