The Aparecida Run 2026, scheduled for October 12th, offers runners and walkers the opportunity to explore São Paulo's Parque Ecológico do Tietê. This scenic route covers both a five-kilometer run and walk along paths that wind through lush greenery and natural landscapes. The event celebrates Brazil’s patron saint, Nossa Senhora Aparecida, on its official holiday. Participants can pick up their kits at the World Tennis store in Penha de França on October 10th from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM or on the morning of the race with a small fee. The event begins promptly at 8:30 AM, and all runners will receive timing chips for an accurate recording of their times. The Aparecida Run features awards for both men and women in various age categories (14-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-74, and over 75), with trophies given to the top five finishers. Additionally, all participants who complete the course receive a medal. The race is open to individuals aged 14 years or older by December 31st, 2026. The event offers an engaging mix of competition and community spirit in one of São Paulo's most picturesque parks.
