Embark on an invigorating group run with Aravaipa's California Race Director and OC Trail Runner Director, Melanie, at El Moro and Laguna Coast Wilderness Park in Newport Beach. This free social gathering is designed for those who enjoy the camaraderie of trail running while exploring diverse terrain.
The meetup spotlights a dynamic 6.5-mile route, featuring around 1,000 feet of elevation gain and challenging rocky sections that offer both steep uphills and technical downhills. Participants should come prepared with experience on trails and be ready to tackle varied terrains. The run starts promptly at 6:30 AM on Saturday, October 17th; arriving late may make parking difficult due to limited space.
Join the group in front of the restrooms at Coastal Peak Park (20403 East Coastal Peak Road, Newport Coast). This scenic park offers breathtaking views and a chance to connect with fellow runners while enjoying an adventurous morning. The route is subject to change based on occasional intermittent closures within the park, ensuring safety and accessibility.
