Kablar Skyrace – April 4, 2026 – Ovčar Banja
Organized by the Planinarsko Društvo Kablar of Čačak under the auspices of the Serbian Mountaineering Federation (PSS), the Kablar Skyrace is set to take place in the stunning Ovčar-Kablar Gorge. This inaugural event will cover a distance of 22.4 kilometers, featuring an impressive cumulative climb of 1600 meters.
Competitors will traverse through some of Serbia’s most breathtaking landscapes as they navigate the rugged terrain of Kablar and its surrounding peaks. The race course offers panoramic views of the Ovčar-Kablar Gorge and the Western Morava River, along with glimpses of the majestic mountains of Ovčar, Jelica, and Debeli Rani.
While parts of the route are relatively flat and meander through Kablar’s lush forests, runners will also encounter challenging sections that wind around steep cliffs. The ascent to two significant peaks within Kablar—889 meters and 885 meters—will test even the most seasoned athletes as they push their limits against an awe-inspiring backdrop.
The event promises a unique blend of scenic beauty and technical challenges, making it a must-attend for mountain runners seeking both adventure and competition.
