Kick off your holiday season with the 2026 Arlington Turkey Trot, taking place on Thanksgiving morning at Choctaw Stadium (formerly Globe Life Park) in Arlington, Texas. This festive 5K and 1-mile fun run/walk is a beloved tradition that celebrates community spirit while raising funds for local causes.
Participants can look forward to an energetic start with the 1 Mile Fun Run & Walk beginning at 8:00 AM, followed by the main event—the 5K Race/Walk starting promptly at 8:30 AM. The race is part of the Arlington Marathon Series and offers a unique blend of competition and camaraderie for runners and walkers alike.
The route through Choctaw Stadium provides an engaging backdrop with its iconic stadium setting, enhancing the festive atmosphere as participants make their way around this historic venue. Both races are chip-timed by Cox Racing Services to ensure accurate results while providing all registered participants with a long-sleeve technical performance shirt (guaranteed only for pre-registered sizes), custom finisher medals, and personalized race bibs.
Registration is available through November 25th at $40 for the 1 Mile Fun Run and $45 for the 5K Race/Walk. Late registration on race day will cost an additional $5 per entry type. Early packet pickup can be done at The Runner Shop in Arlington from Wednesday, Nov 25th through Saturday, Nov 26th.
The event is organized by the One Step Foundation and presented as part of the broader mission to support local initiatives such as the Miracle League of Arlington, which offers inclusive sports opportunities for individuals with special needs.
