ATW Grafham Triathlon

Experience the Grafham Triathlon, organized by one of the UK's premier triathlon hosts. This versatile event caters equally to seasoned athletes and newcomers alike, offering an ideal venue for your first open-water multisport challenge or a competitive race.
Grafham Water provides a stunning backdrop with its crystal-clear waters and picturesque surroundings, having hosted numerous award-winning races, national championships, and GB qualifier events over the years. The triathlon offers two engaging distances:
- Standard Distance Triathlon: A 1500m swim in Grafham Water's pristine reservoir followed by a smooth 38km bike ride through scenic villages and then a flat 10km run around the lake.

- Sprint Distance Triathlon: For those looking for a shorter, yet equally thrilling experience, this includes a 750m swim, a challenging 17km bike course that reaches the village of Perry before turning back, and concludes with a single lap on the flat 5k run around Grafham Water.
The swimming leg takes place in loops within the reservoir, one loop for sprinters and two for standard distance participants. The cycling route is an out-and-back affair through charming villages like Perry, offering breathtaking views along each kilometre of your ride.
For runners, the race features a flat 5k course that winds around Grafham Water’s natural paths. You'll cross over the iconic dam wall and loop past both the finish line and transition area, receiving enthusiastic support from spectators on every lap.
Additionally, for athletes who prefer to skip the run section, an Aquabike option is available at the standard distance level, combining a swim in Grafham's waters with a challenging bike ride through scenic landscapes.
