The 2026 Audacity: Osage County Gravel Race rolls out on August 1st, under the starlit sky of Oklahoma. This unique race invites cyclists to explore the rugged terrain and scenic beauty of Osage County at night. Race day kicks off at Soundpony Bar at 6 PM sharp. Registration closes just half an hour before the start, ensuring a smooth transition into the event. Bikers can pick up their race bibs from 409 N. Main or directly at Soundpony Bar, which opens earlier to accommodate all participants. The main course stretches for 70 miles and is marked with three strategic rest stops: Coke Truck at Mile 10 (self-serve), Mile 23's Rest Stop 1 (entrance to the gravel loop), and a crucial checkpoint at Mile 42.5, Prue, followed by another stop at Mile 48 before exiting the loop. For those who prefer less intensity but still want an exhilarating experience, Audacity: Osage County offers the E-Class category for e-bike riders. This non-competitive division welcomes Class 1 and Class 3 pedal-assist bikes (no throttle), ensuring a level playing field with some electric assistance. Riders must adhere to standard course rules, carry appropriate lighting equipment, and be prepared for challenging gravel conditions. As night falls over Osage County, the race transforms into an adventure of light and sound. Checkpoints will provide essential support, while surprises along the way add an element of excitement. Upon completion, revel in a dance party at Soundpony Bar to celebrate your accomplishment. Awards await top finishers—first, second, and third place—but this event is about more than just winning. It’s about embracing the journey, appreciating the scenery, and sharing moments with fellow cyclists under the stars. Required gear includes a helmet, a sturdy gravel bike, sufficient water for hydration points along the route, front lights capable of illuminating your path for up to four hours, a rear flasher, tools for flat repairs, and most importantly, an open mind and sense of humor. This promises to be the hottest night of any adult life! Pre-ride courses will be available before the event. Keep an eye on Ride Alert for all updates and reminders. So, gather your gear, lace up those shoes, and join us at Soundpony Bar as we turn a simple ride into something extraordinary under the stars.
